Last year, Himachal Pradesh witnessed devastating floods, resulting in significant loss of life and property. Approximately 2400 people from the Indora region were rescued by NDRF teams, with 1100 individuals airlifted to safety by the Air Force helicopters. These incidents are attributed to environmental changes. Therefore, in collaboration with students, the Girls School in Indora initiated an environmental project titled "How Can I Care, Earth To Ozone Layer." This project involves planting trees with students, reducing plastic usage, and organizing various activities to raise awareness among people about environmental conservation. The principal Mohan Sharma and students of the Government Girls Senior Secondary School Indora, were honored by an American organization Digital Promise with a grant of $2,500 (equivalent to around 2 lakh rupees) for his environmental project. They selected projects of 20 teachers across 16 countries.
